Kevin Schwantz grew up in his parent's Motorcycle shop in Texas, and that must have left a lasting impression because he's become one of the most loved motorcycle riders of all time.

He started his racing career in Motocross, following his father, but moved to on-road racing in 1984 following a serious crash.

You couldn't say that that crash - or the many since - really rattled him, because through racing in the AMA and onto GP racing, Schwantz's style of racing was pure 110%, never giving up until the final flag, making him a favourite with the crowd the world over.

He was a Suzuki rider from the very first moment he sat on his first road racer right up to his retirement, and will not only be remembered for his 1993 World Championship, but for being one of the most exciting riders of his generation.
